The Northeastern Arched Gate

The Northeastern Arched Gate on the Dome of the Rock's platform is one of the two gate located on the north side of the platform. It runs parallel to Hittah Gate (Remission Gate).

It has 3 arches supported by 2 stone columns and 2 marble columns. There are 11 staircases leading up to the arched gate.

It was built during Mamluk era in 726 H/1325 M during Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qawalun reign as described by the three-part inscription on the southern face of the arched gate.
